Bridge Bearing Pads are placed between the bridge beams and the vertical supports (piers). They absorb and distribute superstructure loads to the substructure, and allow the bridge deck to undergo necessary movement caused by thermal expansion, traffic loads, and seismic forces – without creating dangerous stresses in the structure.

Steel plates are bonded to the rubber elastomer through a vulcanization process, increasing resistance to vertical loads. The plates are fully embedded within the elastomer, providing complete protection against corrosion while extending the service life of the bridge.
